Mart is a General Partner and Investment Committee member at Nordic Science Investments, focusing on sourcing, evaluating and supporting early-stage science-based companies. He works with founders on commercialisation, team development and investment readiness, with portfolio responsibilities including Mu-Ray Technologies, Otos Health and DCR Tech. He also serves on the board of the Estonian Private Equity and Venture Capital Association (EstVCA).
Previously, Mart led UniTartu Ventures, building the University of Tartu’s investment model and initial IP-for-equity portfolio. As the university’s Head of Entrepreneurship, he also led entrepreneurship, innovation and research commercialisation activities. Since August 2026, he has served on the Investment Advisory Committee of the University of Tartu Foundation.
Mart co-founded and led SEB Group’s Innovation Lab in Stockholm, supporting more than 100 projects and teams across six countries. He brings over 20 years of experience across finance, entrepreneurship and innovation in the Nordics and Baltics.
